The French Maid!

I just couldn't resist sharing some of these vintage items available that are a wonderful homage to the French Maid. Who can resist the woman who's organized, neat as a pin, keeps the world the same, is oh so chic, and who knows all of the house secrets...

I have a thing for ephemera, and this charming old label is so sweet. It came from an old broom factory warehouse. It's from Element Lux.

This linen parlor apron is a wonderful example of a piece from the Victorian-Edwardian period. It would have been used by the maid to serve dinner. It is availabe at Pat Studio.

You must visit the shop of Sadie Olive. If you've never heard of her, you should check out her huge store. You'll enjoy the beautiful photography of each piece and reading about each unique item.

Luv Me Two Times is an Etsy store with over 1000 items! She offers several styles of gloves, but I love these for giving the white glove treatment, French Maid style!

Can you believe this crazy antique feather duster? How fun is this? No good French Maid would be caught with out one! From Im So Vintage.

Vintage Sesibilities has lots of great clothing, including this old uniform with cute, puffy sleeves.

You can find this lovely white lace collar at Kims Cottage. Its of sheer organza and lace, and very feminine!

Kathys Sewing Room is a wonderful source for collectors of sewing notions. This little maid holds four spools of thread.

These charming old decals from The Spectrum would be great for a kitchen project!

Even this 1940's black dress has a definite influence of the French Maid Uniform, with it's white collar. It's from Lady Moon Vintage.

How about a little frilly apron to wear the next time your serving cocktails? This adorable, cotton gauze piece is from Eye Spy Goods.

Who doesn't love a classic pin-up girl? Gypsys Vardo has a whole collection that hung on the wall of a restaurant.

Have Fun Today!
